  • MASCOS Tutorial Workshop on Matrix-Analytic Methods in Stochastic Modelling
The University of Melbourne, Australia July 23, 2004.

A Markovian point process can be thought of as generalising the Poisson process. Such point processes can have non-exponentially distributed and even correlated inter-event times and yet maintain much of the tractability of the Poisson process. This talk will introduce Markovian point processes and discuss their properties.
