The Fourth International Conference on Matrix Analytic Methods
in Stochastic Models, held at the University of Adelaide from
the 14th to the 18th of July, 2002, provided
an international forum for the presentation of recent results on
Matrix Analytic Method s in Stochastic Models. Its scope included
the development of methodology and the algorithmic implementation
and application to fields such as communications, reliability,
risk, production and manufacturing engineering. The conference
realised the assembly of many international researchers, from both
academic and industrial backgrounds.
