Location: The Mathematics Building and the Engineering/Mathematics Building at the University of Adelaide. Here is a map of the campus.
Organiser:
Dr Matthew Brown (matthew.brown@adelaide.edu.au).
There is no registration fee. All interested are welcome.
The Institute for Geometry and its Applications, the University of Adelaide, is hosting a Workshop on Finite Geometry and Design Theory on 12 - 14 December 2005 at the University of Adelaide, Australia.
The purpose of this workshop to discuss recent and current research techniques in the area of finite geometry, design theory and associated applications. This will mainly, but not exclusively, include finite incidence geometries such as generalized quadrangles, projective and polar spaces and applications such as information security.
The workshop will include organised sessions of talks, of 50 or 25 minutes length. There will be a scheduled session to discuss open problems, as well as opportunities for informal discussions between participants.
Please feel free to circulate this announcement to anyone whom you feel may be interested.
There is no registration fee, and all interested in attending are welcome. There is no expectation of participants presenting a talk, although it is strongly encouraged.
Titles and abstracts for talks will appear here and a schedule of events here.
Although there is no registration fee, registration is necessary for organisational purposes and for the official records of the IGA.
Should you require any further information or assistance, or if you
