We define a discrete random variable and its probability distribution. Expectation is
introduced as averaging in the population. A Bernoulli trial is defined and leads to binomial,
negative binomial and Poisson distributions. The hypergeometric distribution is considered as a
modification of a binomial distribution for a finite population.
